ABOUT THE PROJECT
I'm Julie from Julia Lion Hair, and I have been a hairstylist for two years now. I have seen and done so many different things in that time, and I met the most amazing people. I finally got to a point where I could be condifent about my work, and that deserved a showreel. Nothing extravagant, just a little video with a few different hairstyles.

It turned out a little bit different.

After a crazy brainstorming session with brilliant make-up artist Nils Missorten and model My Fragility, the basic outlines for every model were drawn out. I already had some ideas on which models to ask, and to my great joy they all said yes immediately.
Nils pushed me to go further, crazier, more out of the box.

After a photoshoot with Dave Groennesby, I asked him if he would like to make photos and a video for me. Araidna Mladen, an incredible fashion designer, was also present and agreed to design clothing that fit the hair designs. They were very enthusiastic, and my core team was assembled.
The project started to take shape, and I realised it would be larger than anything else I'd ever organised. I asked for make-up and hair assistants, and another extra photographer to take some stress off Dave's shoulders. Who else would complete this team but the amazing Laura from Sheridan's Art?

What started as a little showreel to show off my skills has turned into a huge project with a team that I know, love and trust completely. It's a true privilege to know and work with all of these people - make sure to check them out on the "Team" page, and follow them on social media.
